The leading anti-hunger organization works with other charities to fight hunger in Nassau and Suffolk counties. In a letter to Vasomedical, Paule T. Pachter, the Executive Director of Long Island Cares writes "Thank you for joining us in our mission to ensure that more Long Island children and families do not go hungry. We are truly grateful for your support."

"We’re thrilled that all our employees and board members were able to give such generous donations,” said Jun Ma, CEO Of Vasomedical, Inc. “To exceed 1,000 pounds for the second year in a row is amazing and we’re happy that our donation will go towards helping those in need here on Long Island. Long Island Cares is a wonderful program and I can’t thank our employees and board members enough for contributing to this effort, especially in these harsh economic times, when so many are in need.”
