Outpatient Imaging Market Specialist – (Central/Northern California)

Purpose

The Outpatient Imaging Market Specialist (OIMS) is responsible for developing new business opportunities in the outpatient specialty market. The market includes cardiology, oncology, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedic, OBGYN, family medicine, internal medicine, and other outpatient healthcare entities offering diagnostic imaging services.

The OIMS will work with outpatient specialty practices to understand current business as well as opportunities for growth. The OIMS will create and present business solutions, including diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, and other GE Healthcare clinical solutions, to the clinical administrators, physicians, board members, and other key customer stakeholders.

The OIMS role will focus on new and developing healthcare entities that are not currently covered by the existing sales team. The goal is to significantly grow the volume of qualified sales opportunities for GE Healthcare (CT, MR, X-ray, MI, and women’s health solutions) in the outpatient specialty market.

Activities

  • Uncovering new outpatient accounts and sales opportunities
  • Building relationships in specialty practices including physicians, administrators, business managers, technologists, and office staff
  • Prospecting for new opportunities in the outpatient market including GEHC imaging, ultrasound, and other GEHC solutions
  • Attending training and networking events specific to the outpatient market

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Divide time between virtual and in-person sales meetings with new and existing customers
  • Work with company’s Commercial Enablement team to develop talk tracks around GE Healthcare solutions targeted towards each specialty group
  • Partner with Region Managers to identify market-leading outpatient groups as sales targets
  • Engage the Vaso Account Manager in opportunities at the appropriate transition point to create
  • Communicate frequently with Sales leadership regarding outpatient market trends, recommended strategies, and tactics for growth

 Requirements

  • Willingness to travel (some overnight travel, but most of market can be covered in day trips)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must have a solid command of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be comfortable at using SFDC and other business software tools.
  • Must be able to make presentations and develop proposals for a variety of healthcare professionals
  • Must be capable of presenting return on investment proposals showing the cost, patient volume and reimbursement assumptions and path to break even and positive cash flow.
  • Must have financial selling skills and the ability to develop and implement a sales strategy
  • Must be able to successfully balance conflicting priorities, influence and manage tender cross functional teams and processes
  • Must attend all training provided by the company
  • Must meet or exceed annual assigned metrics

 Qualifications/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, and/or Leadership
  • 2-3 years of healthcare sales experience

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, disposables, devices, or other outpatient healthcare sales; experience in capital equipment sales (e.g. office systems)
