Position Summary:

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent documentation skills, and a strong desire to learn. Understanding of sales support concepts, proposal development, quoting and standard contract development is required. The Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the managed services industry including telecommunication carrier products, professional services, hardware, & application pricing and negotiation strategies. Additionally, they should be familiar with proposal development in the medical imaging application vertical with multi-product/multi-vendor opportunities, contract development, and vendor negotiations. Experience with the channel sales model is a plus.  This individual must have at least 5-10 years industry experience with a proven track record of success.  Previous management experience in a rapidly growing organization is a plus.

Strong organizational, follow-up, and oral and written communication skills required. Ability to motivate and lead a team of proposal development analysts in a high-pressure environment is essential.

Responsibility:

This individual will be responsible for managing proposal and quote requests from Sales Representatives, Channel Managers, Agents and Customers and ensuring timely, accurate proposal responses.  The manager will be responsible for leading a team that researches and determines the best pricing for numerous products & services within margin guidelines. They will engage with Leadership, Sales Executives and Engineering team to structure complex proposals.  The individual will be responsible for communicating to all levels of an organization while balancing multiple priorities and timelines.  Evaluate sales processes and perform collaboratively with Account Managers, Sales Managers and Vice President of Sales. Perform as primary liaison to Product Development, Operations, IT and various departments as required. Coordinate with Marketing to develop collateral, outbound marketing efforts and website updates. Ensure to grow and assist revenue targets along with future growth targets.

Additionally, it will be the responsibility of the Proposal Development Manager to ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and in compliance with company procedure. Follow-up effectively with internal and external partners and customers to ensure accurate information for all orders. Responsible for weekly/monthly trend and revenue reporting. Regular review of carrier pricing updates and ensure accuracy of the quoting system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  •  Minimum of (5+) years of experience in quoting and contract development.
  • Experience in telecom networking and medical hardware and application pricing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer and Internet skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
  • CRM management & Excel abilities.
  • Previous work experience working in sales support environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, as required
  • May be required to work some weekends and holidays
  • College Degree or equivalent business experience
