The Ultrasound Sales Director is responsible for the overall performance and management of the Ultrasound Sales Channel, including all Ultrasound sales activities, attainment of the Orders and Revenue quotas, and direct management of the Ultrasound Sales Specialist team.

The Ultrasound Sales Director is responsible for driving performance to promote orders and revenue growth. Aligned with GE HealthCare Ultrasound management, the sales director will promote GE HealthCare Ultrasound products in the General Imaging, Cardiovascular, and Point of Care portfolios. The Ultrasound Sales Director will be responsible for strategy, growth, and new market outreach in the assigned accounts. The Ultrasound Sales Director will work with the President and other members of the leadership team to ensure channel success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own achievement of Ultrasound Orders operating plan and lead Ultrasound Sales Specialists to attain or exceed individual OP quarterly and annually
  • Achieve revenue target by actively managing the order to install process with Ultrasound Sales Specialists
  • Attain a set performance mix, driving the team to balanced selling across the Ultrasound segments (General Imaging, Cardiovascular and Point of Care)
  • Drive other sales-related performance goals, such as Equipment Finance capture rates and Service Sales capture rates
  • Maintain strong relationships with GE HealthCare Ultrasound leaders to collaborate on market sales initiatives and specific sales targets
  • Report out on team performance to the VasoHealthcare and GE HealthCare leadership and communicate the promotions and products necessary for growth in respective sales markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key Ultrasound customers at the senior management level

Activities

  • Lead the Ultrasound Sales Specialists in territory planning, process, and execution
  • Hire, mentor, and motivate Ultrasound Sales Specialists for continued personal and professional improvement
  • Own the national operating goals and create the necessary plans to exceed it
  • Assist Ultrasound Sales Specialists in sales opportunities to increase order profitability
  • Maintain working knowledge of Ultrasound product features, benefits, value propositions, selling strategies, and competitive tactics in each of the assigned care areas
  • Review Ultrasound Sales Specialist performance quarterly and coach to success against orders and revenue targets, providing feedback on goals, growth areas, and learning opportunities
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the sales funnel and guide Ultrasound Sales Specialist on funnel health management using company reports and tools
  • Create and implement specific programs to improve sales funnel and overall win rate
  • Drive creation of regional customer advocates sites for the top Ultrasound products
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Ultrasound Sales Specialist compensation plan and assist team in maximizing their performance and compensation
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with leadership to represent assigned product segment trends, recommend strategies and tactics for growth, and communicate Ultrasound sales strategy
  • Act as a liaison to the GE HealthCare regional management, utilizing relationships and knowledge to streamline sales efforts and provide solutions
  • Manage regional expenses and ensure proper use of all company resources

 Requirements

  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Must have a solid command of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be comfortable using Salesforce and other business software tools
  • Must be able to make presentations and develop proposals
  • Must have financial selling skills and the ability to develop and implement a sales strategy

 Qualifications/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 10 or more years of experience in Ultrasound sales
  • 5 or more years in sales management or other national leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of General Imaging Ultrasound, Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Point-of-Care Ultrasound
